My Evil Twin
My Evil Twin
I was at school with my annoying-and possibly evil- twin Akivhsa. I was in an immensely bad mood; I had gotten a newt in my breakfast. I sat down at my seat and listened to my teacher chatter on and on and on about reading and writing. Then, Akivhsa suddenly started imitating my voice. I hated it when she did that. “You know, Akivsha, I can’t stand this class. It’s like, sooo boring,” Akivhsa spoke in a high pitch. Then, her face shifted into a malicious expression for a split second, which soon was hidden behind a mask of bewildered astonishment.
Why did you say that, Ashvika? That is so rude! Unfortunately, My reading teacher, Miss Fletcher, had heard too. “Young lady, go to the principal's at once!” She ordered me. I sulked up the stairs, thinking of my horrible twin. After an infinite lecture on respect and empathy and keeping rude thoughts to myself, the principal finally freed me from her stifling office. I flounced down the stairs and right up to Akivhsa. After a short, heated argument in the hall, I made it to the second block. But just before I was about to walk through the door, Akivhsa conjured a humongous purple storm, spewing out thunder and lightning. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I whipped out my phone and clicked a photo. Then I ran in the classroom to show my teacher, Mrs. Gossamer. She seemed skeptical for a moment, but when she peeked outside her eyes widened. She sighed, went to her drawer and took out her wand. Wait, her wand? It was about a foot long, with a gold star at the end. She approached Akivhsa with her wand raised. I thought about how this combat would turn out. A full-grown fairy against a witch who is still a kid? I shook my head. How crazy would my life get?
Next, there would be flying monkeys. Then, I heard a weird screeching noise. I looked up. Flying monkeys were launching themselves at Mrs. Gossamer. She flicked her wand, and repelled them easily. An hour later, Akivhsa and Mrs. Gossamer were still hurling spells at each other. Then, Mrs.Gossamer produced a powerful spell that seemed to take the magic out of Akivhsa. The battle was over! Akivhsa came over to me, and she seemed to be nicer. Maybe it was all that magic that made her evil. We chatted like long lost friends. After that, Akivhsa was never evil again.
