Butterfly life
I shook inside my egg. Something inside of me urged me to push against the hard walls. Something inside of me urged me to push against the hard walls of my egg. I felt restless. I wanted to see more. I pushed again, and I scrambled out of my egg to a bright green leaves. I took a tiny bite of the leaf. It tickled my taste buds and woke up something in my stomach. I was hungry. I ate and ate and ate till the leaf was gone. I inch away to head for a different leaf. I ate more, and more, until my skin started to itch. I squirm and wiggled, until my old skin came off, and I started eating again. nap until I was finished. It was like coming out of my egg again I pushed and scrambled out. I stayed outside in the sun, letting myself soak it up. Then I examined myself. I was black and slender, with two glorious orange wings protruding from my back. As a flat stem, I realize that I could fly! I took off into the bright blue sky, the wind ushering me on, as a glided through the air. Then, a delicious smell came to me. A flower garden was below me. my instincts urged me to go down, and I was hungry. I split it down, landing on a yellow honeysuckle. The aroma was so strong, I was already having a feast just by smelling it. I drink the nectar up as tiny pieces of pollen got stuck to my legs. I went to the next flower, sucking up the sticky, sweet scrumptiousness and pollinating it. And so life continued until fall. It was time for our trip to Mexico! Then I realized there was more of me! Cousins, and second cousins, and sisters! So many members of my family. We flew, dodging birds and frogs, until we found our destination, just in time for the Day of the dead. we stayed there for the fall and winter, then return back for spring. As I flew back, I laid an egg, knowing that one day, a caterpillar with hatch and live her life.
