I never thought I would survive this
I Never Thought I would Survive This!
As soon as I stepped into my hotel room, a shiver ran down my spine. The room was more like a shack. It was so drafty that I thought I would get hypothermia. The walls were all a dull charcoal gray. The “bed” was more like a broken-down bench with stiff sheets piled on it. The room was barely inhabitable. I would have got a better room, but this was the last room left. I could have gone to a different hotel, but this was the only one open. I had to deal with that run-down room.
It was midnight, and I woke up to the strangest sounds ever. They sounded like chains rattling. I listened to them for a moment and then hopped out of my uncomfortable bed to investigate. I climbed down the long, winding stairs to the basement, and the sounds got louder. After what seemed like an hour, I finally reached the basement. It looked like a jail cell. Then, what I saw made me shriek with fear.
There was a vampire in front of me! He had a length of chains, and hunger gleamed in his blood-red eyes. I took a step back, hoping to find an exit, but my back reached a solid stone wall. This room didn’t just look like a jail cell- it was a jail cell. The vampire was advancing on me, the chains coiled in his hand. I would never survive this. The vampire was going to suck my blood out. He got closer and closer. I glanced at one of the minuscule windows around the wall. It was a few minutes until daybreak, but the vampire didn’t notice. His only priority was to eat me. He was right up to my face now. He wrapped the chains around me, and they squeezed me so hard that I couldn’t move. But then, the vampire gave a silent shriek, and his glowing red eyes widened in fear. The sun had finally risen. The vampire faded away, and so did the chains binding me.
I rushed up the stairs in record timing. I ran out the door and leaped into my car. I drove off without a second thought. I never thought I would survive that day but I miraculously did!
